We bought a baguette for our lunch from the baker van which came round
the campsite. We set off on our bikes north of the town, past a
reservoir, where we locked up the bikes and started walking.
It turned
out most of the walk was on tarmac tracks and roads. We passed a few
smaller lakes, and got as far as Lac du Vieilles Forges, where there is a
beach and a campsite. We had our lunch there, camembert and French
bread.
We then walked and cycled back to town. We crossed the river and
then walked up a steep forest track to a viewpoint.
Then back to the
campsite where we had showers then pasta and vegetables for dinner.
