Summer Trip - Day 31 - Lac Du Der

We got up fairly early and were on the road by 9. We stopped at Troyes just before 12 and found parking was free between 12 and 2. Then we discovered all the attractions were shut till 2!

We had a good walk around. It's a very nice historic town, with many old streets with wooden framed houses.

There is a also cathedral and lots of churches.

One has a religious relic museum, one of the exhibits is a saint's tooth!.

We stayed till 3, then we drove on to the Aire at Lac du Der. It's a big one, can take about 50 campervans and was quite busy.

We went for a walk round some ponds, saw what was either a beaver or an otter swimming, plus some storks and three snakes, one swimming in the pond.

Back at the campervan we had smoked ham salad with potato salad.
