Summer Trip - Day 32 - Charleville-Mézières

Today we cycled round the lake. It was warm but quite hazy all day. We went for a couple of walks on the way. We saw a couple of small deer, and many ducks and coots.

 

We had our lunch at a picnic table at a beach. The route round the lake turned out to be nearly 40km.

When we got back to the campervan we packed up and left, heading north east. After stopping for provisions at a supermarket we arrived in Charleville-Mézières at about 5.30pm.

We had nothing booked so we followed signs to Mont Olympe campsite which was by the River Meuse and looked fine so checked in at 2 nights for 38 euros total including electricity.

We had tuna, spinach and new potatoes for dinner. Later there was thunder and lightning and it rained all night.
