Summer Trip - Day 33 - Charleville-Mézières

It was raining until about 10am, then stopped and was mostly dry and warm for the rest of the day. We walked over the pedestrian bridge into town and up to Place Ducale. We got some info from the tourist office then went round to the giant puppet master model in Winston Churchill square, where we watched its show at 11.

We then went round the Ardennes museum.

After wandering round town for a bit, we had lunch at Frites And Co on the main square, great burgers and brilliant value.

We decided to walk to Mézières and visit the Notre Dame church.

Then back to Charleville via the Sacred Coer church. We then visited the two Arthur Rimbaud museums, which were included in our museum ticket, but found them a little dull. Intersting display of chairs outside though.

Back at the campervan we went for a stroll along the riverbank then had a cheese toasty for tea. Later we went out into town and watched a rock band at Bar Imprevu on the main square.

During the night we could hear loud music, not sure if it was from the square or a night club.
