Summer Trip - Day 37 - Trémuson

We bought a baguette from the boulanger on site, had some for breakfast and made sandwiches with French cheese for lunch with the rest.

We left the site and drove to Plougrescant where we parked the van near the church and walked west to the coast.

There are loads of large rock formations all the way.

We walked north, and saw this famous picture-postcard house sandwiched between two huge rocks.

We carried on walking round the top of the peninsula, and had our lunch on a beach.

On the east side it was much more sheltered and the sun had come out, so it was warm. There were oyster beds and wrecked boats.

We stopped at a great spot for a snack.

After returning to the van we drove to the next peninsula round, where we hoped to find an aire on which to park overnight. Unfortunately of the three possibilities one was closed and the other two were full (4 spaces only). So we just parked to go for a walk and decided to worry about where to stay later.

We walked all the way out the Sillon of Talbert, a 3.5km sand spit. The tide was out though, so when we got to the end there were rocky bits that went out for miles.

This is what it looks like when the tide's in.

After returning to the van we looked at the map and decided on an aire 50km south in the village of Trémuson. We got there about 7 and there was plenty of room. We had tuna, tomato and pasta for dinner.
