We left Concarneau and drove further west up the coast, stopping to buy provisions at a big supermarket on the way.
We stopped and parked in Benodet and walked along the beach promenade. At the port we had a look in the church. We walked further round the coastline then back up through the town.
We then drove on to Quimper and went into the municipal camp site. We had to wait an hour for reception to open, then a bit of fuss was made about them being busy, but we managed to book in for two nights.
We set up then walked into town, mostly along the river that runs through the middle.
It was very busy as a festival was on. There were stalls, street performers and some larger stages were being prepared.
The old town centre is nice with narrow streets and wooden fronted houses.
Quimper was once twinned with Falkirk and there are still some reminders of this.
It was very hot again today. We walked back to the site, showered, and had a barbecue of lamb and beef sausages and some spiced chicken.
