We decided on a boat trip to Ile Aux Moines in the inland sea today. We walked down to the jetty to book the boat but the first one available was at 12.45pm so we went for a local stroll round the coast first.
At the appointed time we went down to catch the boat.
It took about half an hour to get to the island. Once there we decided we probably had time to walk round the entire coastline of it.
There was some colourful heather moorland near the south of the island.
There's an ancient dolmen (table-like burial structure) at the highest point.
There were some remnants of a now gone seafood industry.
We caught the boat back, then had (expensive)salmon steaks with potatoes for dinner.
