Summer Trip - Day 14 - Eastbourne

We left the van in the car park and walked down to Alfriston village. Then a walk up lanes and tracks through various fields of wheat, barley, linseed etc.

We walked as far as Firle, where we had a wander round and look at the church. It had lots of tapestry kneeling cushions.

Then uphill to Firle Beacon on the South Downs Way. We stopped for lunch in the sunshine.

The walk followed the SDW all the way back to Alfriston. We also had a look at Saint Andrews church there.

It was very hot when we got back to the van. We drove to Phyllis's house to stay there.
