Summer Trip - Day 15 - Dieppe

We went to the hospital to get Shirley's finger checked - it's healing OK so we're definitely going to France.

We pack up the campervan and go off to do some shopping for provisions. Soon we're heading for Newhaven, which is only about 20 miles from Eastbourne. We get in the queue for the ferry, we're almost first.

Once we get on and have a walk around, we see that it's very quiet and we have our choice of places to sit. We can see back to the white cliffs as we sail out, leaving a few minutes late at about 5.45pm.

We could see the bit of the cliff at Seaford Head which had collapsed recently.

The crossing is a little choppy as it's quite windy.

We arrive at Dieppe at 10.30pm French time, and drive straight to the aire on the other side of the harbour to spend the night.
