In the morning we moved on, driving west to Concarneau. We found the aire in the centre of town, it was 6 euros per night.
After parking we walked into town, and onto the walled bit of the city which was on an island in the port connected by a bridge.
There was one long street full of shops. In parts you could walk along the ramparts.
We caught the little ferry or "bac" across to the other side for one euro.
Then we walked through the port to the river. There was a walk up the bank to a bridge and down the other side. It was extremely hot today, the shade under the trees on this walk was welcome.
After walking back into town we had a drink in a bar just outside the port.
Back at the aire we had a rest, trying to get as much ventilation in the van as possible. For dinner we had pasta, pesto and sliced sausage.
