We walked from the site into Ingolstadt, which is on the River Danube. There has been flooding in Bavaria recently, and the river level is still very high, overflowing into the park and over paths.
We walked round the outside of the city, following the line of the city walls and moat.
The old town has some interesting buildings.
We had lunch from a bakery, a filled pretzel and a cheese pastry.
Before heading back to the site we had a beer in a beer garden attached to a hotel.
Later for dinner we had pasta again, this time with bacon, spinach, and tomato.
