Today we went to the top of Wank, 1,780 metres. First we caught the cable car from the base just next to the site, to the middle station at about 1,150 metres.
From there we started walking steeply up to the top. The path went under the cable car route at times. It was quite busy, we found out later this was because there was a private party on at the restaurant at the top, and many of the guests were walking up.
The top has great views. There's a panorama trail up there that a lot of people seem to walk, even if they get the cable car all the way up.
After spending quite a lot of time up there we caught the cable car down. Our walk was 8km with 795m of ascent.
After showering we walked to a Lidl supermarket about 20 minutes away for some shopping.
For dinner we had a barbecue of chicken skewers with courgette, peppers and tomato.
