Seville - Day 1

Our flight to Malaga was scheduled for 12.55, so after dropping Oscar off at the kennels at 10am we drove to Edinburgh airport.

We left the car at FastPark, and went through security. We had plenty of time so had a pint at Wetherspoons.

The flight took off about 10 minutes late, and arrived about 5.30pm. We'd booked a car from Malagacar so caught the courtesy bus to their office. It was a pale blue Renault Clio, and turned out to be a pretty good car over the holiday. We'd bought a fully comprehensive package at a very reasonable 110 Euros for just over 8 days.

For our first night we'd booked a studio apartment in Benalmádena so drove there, it was only about 10 minutes away. It took us about 20 minutes to make contact with the host, but eventually we got in ok and unpacked. It's small but has all we need for one night.

We headed out for something to eat. First we went to a bar in the port area, which was obviously a very touristy place frequented by Brits. It was quite fun watching them have a good time though.

After a drink there we walked round the harbour looking for someplace for dinner. It was quite cold out, and most places were very quiet. Eventually we settled on an all-you-can-eat Asian buffet at Direct Wok. It was pretty good with a large selection of Chinese dishes, fresh wok ingredients, sushi and lots of other Asian nibbles. Also a decent selection of desserts.
