We left the site and drove south towards our next booked site. On the way we did some shopping, then stopped in the village of Santa Magdalena de Polpís for a walk.
First we went up through woodland, getting steeper as we approached Polpis Castle.
At the castle we had a brief shower of rain.
We then carried on to Bota summit, then down into Boixar gorge, then back along the road to the car park.
We drove on to our next site, Las Olivas in Alcalà de Xivert, which was a few miles inland. Here we are staying for 3 nights for 60 euros including electric. The site seems fine, but it's quite a walk from our pitch to the facilities block. It does have a bar and a secure dog exercise area though.
After showering we went to the bar. We were served quite unusual tapas with our drink - a slice of bread and jam!
While we were there all the mobile phones in the room went off with an emergency weather alert for wind for tomorrow, from storm Oriana.
Back at the van we had pizza for dinner.
