Spain - Day 5

There was a supermarket just down from the aire, so we drove there. Unfortunately there was a height barrier for the car park and we couldn't get in, so we went back up to the aire and walked to the supermarket.

After the shopping we decided to see if we could book into a campsite in Peñíscola on the Mediterranean coast. This proved to be quite difficult to do, and we could only get 2 nights starting from Tuesday. We therefore changed our plans and decided to repark here in Zaragoza for another night, and go in and see the city.

There was a tram stop just outside the aire, and we knew dogs were allowed on, as opposed to buses where they're not. So we took it to Plaza España in the city centre.

We had a wander around, looking at the cathedral, churches and other old buildings.

We had a walk by the river.

We walked by the town hall to the tourist information office, which is a tower that you can climb to get a good view.

Near the market there is a bit of the old Roman wall.

We carried on walking to the west of the city, and ended up having a drink opposite the bullring.

Back at the old town we caught the return tram back to the aire.

Later for dinner we had sliced pork done in the Ridgemonkey, with potatoes and brocolli.
