Spain - Day 7

We drove a few miles to the south of Peñíscola and parked just on the edge of Irta Natural Park. From there we walked on forestry tracks through plantations of almond and olive trees. On the land that wasn't being cultivated, there were signs of more ancient stone terraces.

After reaching a pass, then walking through a picnic area with a small stream, we reached a dry river bed which we followed down to the coast.

At the coast there was a boardwalk through a nature reserve that took us to a car park and picnic area where we had our lunch above the beach.

We then picked up the coastal path, and headed north, stopping at the Badum Tower on the way.

After returning to the van we went to a supermarket for some shopping, then returned to the camp site.

Later for dinner we had chicken escalopes, green beans and carrots.
