As forecast, today was extremely windy all day, with 60mph+ winds from storm Oriana. It was obvious that it would be too risky to do any hillwalking.
We stayed on site for a few hours, there was some minor damage to trees and some peoples' awnings. We lost a plastic flap from our hookup socket.
Although it was still windy we walked into town in the late morning. It was too windy to sit anywhere, but we had a look round the main square and the church.
We bought some savoury and sweet pastries from a baker and took them back to the van for lunch. We didn't do much other than reading in the afternoon.
In the evening Scotland were playing England at rugby, so we took the tablet to the bar and watched it on their Wi-Fi.
For dinner in the van we had pork slices, flat green beans and potatoes.
