European Trip - Day 30

We left the camp site and set off on our journey towards Rotterdam and the ferry back to the UK tomorrow. The route took us through Luxembourg so we filled up with diesel there as it's cheaper than any of the surrounding countries.

We had booked Oscar into a vet in Belgium to get his necessary tapeworm medication before entering the UK. We'd found this one on Facebook and it was great! It's in a small village south of Liege which was easy to find, and she only charged 6 euros. We've paid up to 45 euros for this in previous years.

We had initially planned to overnight in Belgium in Antwerp, but luckily found out that the potential stopover place was inside a Low Emission Zone that would have cost us 60 euros to enter. We replanned and headed for a Park and Ride car park just outside Eindhoven in the Netherlands that allows campervans to stay overnight for only 4 euros.

There's a toilet there but it was closed when we arrived. We went to the McDonalds across the road and had a milk shake and a McFlurry and used their facilities. We then took Oscar for a short walk.

The UK currently doesn't allow any meat or dairy products to be taken home from the EU, so we had a dinner using up as much of our leftover food as possible - cheese, chorizo, potatoes, onion, garlic and mushrooms, it was very good.
