Germany - Day 2

We had a cooked breakfast in the hotel, and while we were in the restaurant we watched a family of foxes playing in the grounds outside.

We caught the minibus to Glasgow airport. The Easyjet flight to Berlin took off a little late, but made up most of the time and we landed about 2pm. We caught the S-Bahn train to the Zoo station, stopped to buy some beer at the supermarket, then walked to our hotel, the Berlin Mark.

We decided to go for a walk, heading for Charlottenburg Palace about 45 minutes away. The grounds were still open to the public to we had a walk around - it was lovely, a real find.

There were lots of rivers and lakes, and we saw a red squirrel there.

We walked back, stopping at a Spaetkauf shop for a beer on the way.

For dinner we went to a restaurant called Filmhune, where we watched France beat Belgium in the World Cup. For dinner we had local flatbreads with leek and salmon, and onion and cheese.
