We decided to do a walk that was described in a leaflet that the hosts had left in the apartment. We first drove to the village of Drönnewitz and parked the car.
The first part of the walk was down a track to Neuenkirchener. On the way we had a look at a wooden platform of which there are many in this part of Germany. We assume it's for spotting and shooting deer, but don't know for sure.
At Neuenkirchener we had a look at the church.
We then walked down the side of the lake, first stopping for lunch at a swimming beach.
There were a couple of bird hides, but it was the hottest part of the day and not many birds were out and about.
We foraged for some brambles.
Driving home, we stopped at Zarrentin for a walk and a drink, which was nice.
Later for dinner we had bolognese pasta with salad.
