We left the site and started heading towards the Black Forest. The quickest way there entailed crossing the corner of France on the way. We stopped in Haguenau for a walk at lunchtime to break up the journey.
Unfortunately while we were parked there someone hit the wing mirror on the van and broke the indicator repeater lens. We manage to pick up most of the bits, though, and later stuck them together with tape which lasted the rest of the trip.
We carried on and arrived at the city of Freiburg in the Black Forest, and stopped at a shopping centre for some provisions. We were surprised to see they have Woolworths there.
We checked in to the Busses campsite just out of town.
We took a walk down to the nearest street to see what food and drink options were there, but there wasn't much within walking distance.
We went back to the site and had a local beer at its café.
Later for dinner we had salmon fish fingers, chips, peas and sweetcorn.
