We left the site and drove upstream beside the Saar. We stopped at the town of Mettlach to walk to see a spectacular loop in the river from a viewpoint. We also saw an ostrich farm in the woods.
We then drove on to our last campsite in the Mosel/Saar area, at Siersburg. It's a quiet site just out of town on the bank of a smaller river.
We put on a load of washing in the laundry, then went for a fairly short walk to a local hill called Konigsberg, which had a roman fort at the top.
Later for dinner we had a barbecue, with mango chicken, pepper, mushroom and kartofel salad.
