We left Trier and drove a little way to Konz, which is the town at the confluence of the Mosel and the Saar. We went shopping at Lidl then parked in the centre and went for a walk, first in the town then along the river bank.
We then drove up the Saar river to Saarburg, a very touristic town. We booked into the campsite across from the town itself.
We took a walk into the town and followed the town trail.
Later we walked back into town planning to have a meal. However all the restaurants were very busy so we couldn't get in anywhere we tried. We sat at an open-air bar for a drink, and soon some live music came on the stage.
We got a takeaway burger on the way home, and ate it by the waterfront.
