Scottish Highlands - Day 1

We left the house at about 9.30 am and drove north up the A9. We parked in Aviemore and went to Cobbs café for some lunch. We had butternut squash soup and bread. After lunch we went for a walk down the path beside the River Spey.

We saw a deer in the trees beside some holiday lodges and a little loch.

We then drove on to the campsite, Grannies Heilan Hame Holiday Park at Embo just outside Dornoch. Because of Covid-19 they have a contactless checkin system, we had our pitch number sent by email. For the whole time we were there we didn't need to speak to anyone at reception.

We set up the campervan then went for a walk along the beach and through the small village. There was quite a cold wind.

For dinner we had tuna, pesto, spinach, potatoes and green beans. Later we took Oscar for another walk round the site.
