Homeless Trip :-) - Day 1

We've sold our house and have at least 5 weeks before we move into our new one, so we're on the road in the campervan. The weather forecast for the Lake District at the weekend looks fine, and we also know that 2 friends will be in the area at the time, so we've booked a campsite in Keswick for Fri/Sat/Sun.

In the meantime we headed for south-west Scotland, an area we haven't explored very much. We stopped in Ayr on the way, had a walk around the seafront and town, and had an ice cream.

We want to climb The Merrick, so drove to the car park at the visitor centre in Glen Trool. It's a very nice setting, next to a bridge over the river.

We had fish fingers with new potatoes and veg for dinner, then settled down for a quiet night.
