Athens and Peloponnese - Day 4

We were leaving today, so got up, packed and had breakfast.

We then left and caught the 9.34 metro to the airport. There we got our hire car from Thrifty, a white Peugeot 108.

We drove west, and stopped at the Corinth canal, which separates the Peloponnese from the rest of the Greek mainland. We watched a few small boats go through it, and had lunch on the grass there.

Then we drove on, mostly on toll roads, to Kalamata in the Peloponnese. There we had a walk round the harbour and along the beach, then had a Mythos in a beach bar.

We then stopped at Lidl for some supplies, and drove to Kardamili and found our accommodation, Stella's Rooms. Stella met us and was very friendly, gave us cookies and oranges and iced coffee.

We had a great view of the sunset over the town from our bedroom window.

After dark we walked to a recommended restaurant, Kiki's. Scott had pork chop, Shirley had lamb fricasse with greens. It was very good value at 35.5 euros.
