Brecon

The farm where the bunkhouse was had a sheep which had given birth to 5 lambs. Some of them were being hand-fed so Shirley and Pauline went to help.

This was the last day here so we packed up and left about 10.30. We parked near a caravan site at Whiteford sands, and left Amber. The walk was over dunes and onto the beach, and some of us went as far as an old cast iron lighthouse, which is only accessible at low tide.

We then walked back through a forest and over a hill with views to Worms Head. We had lots of sunshine today.

We all went back to the Kings Head pub for farewell drink. Then the others returned to Bristol while we drove to Brecon Beacons campsite, arriving about 6. It had an excellent shower and toilet block!

We walked to the Three Horsehoes pub in Groesffordd for dinner. Shirley had beef and lamb pie, Scott had risotto. Then we had an early night.
