Spain - Day 9

We drove to the coast, to San Jose in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.

From there we walked round the coast to the wide Genoveses Beach.

At the other end of the beach we went up to a volcanic promontory called Morrón de los Genoveses.

We carried on round a few more coves, stopping for our lunch in the final one before we headed inland.

We passed a windmill on the way back.

We carried on through San Jose to its harbour.

The walk was about 13km.

Once back at the car we drove to the village of Rodalquilar which is famous for an abandoned gold mine that you can walk around, it was very interesting.

We drove back to the apartment via an Aldi supermarket. We had pasta bolognese for dinner.
