Spain - Day 17

We drove and parked near to the Springs of Algar. We planned to do a walk first, then visit the springs.

It was a circular walk round a valley, first past a lot of orange groves.

It was very hot today, and we kept coming across trees which had been blown down over the path, so it got a bit tedious at times. The views were still good though.

We crossed a river bed a couple of times, but this one was dry.

After climbing back out the valley we walked back to the car, nicking a couple of oranges on the way.

The walk was about 9km.

We drove down and parked near the entrance to the springs. There are loads of springs at Algar, feeding rivers which have been used for irrigating the crops in the area for many years.

We had our lunch there in the picnic area.

Later back at the apartment we found we could get onto the roof of the building. From there we had great views and could make out the castellet we'd been to yesterday.

For dinner we had pork with chips and vegetables.
