England and Wales - Day 9

We had a lazy morning in the van, it was very wet and windy. In the afternoon we walked from the site down to Pontfaen, then along the riverside through the trees.

We then went up the hill to rocky outcrops up on the ridge, then along the windy ridge for a couple of miles. We saw a lot of wild ponies.

We then descended back into Pontfaen where we had a drink in the historic Dyffryn Arms, known as "Bessie's".

We then walked back up to the site, and had pasta bolognese for dinner.

That evening there was a folk night in the brewery tap room. It was a bit strange, everybody sitting in a circle taking turns to play their instruments. It wasn't very jolly and we only stayed for one drink.
