England and Wales - Day 27

We walked down into Hexham, a couple of miles away. Grant was coming to meet us in the afternoon so we spent the morning pottering around town.

We went into the cathedral, including the crypt.

Lunch was in Greggs.

We met up with Grant, and he drove us to go for a circular walk incorporating Chesters Roman Fort.

There was one single stretch of Hadrian's wall there.

We dropped Grant's car off back at his B&B and went out for dinner, at the Forum Wetherspoon's pub. We both had burgers, Grant had a pulled chicken burger.

We also went for drinks at the Heart of Northumberland and the Station Inn where Grant is staying. We got a taxi back to the site.
