England and Wales - Day 4

We left the Barnard Castle site in the morning and drove to Chester. We parked at the Little Roodee and walked along the river bank to the waterside near the town centre.

We walked through Grosvenor Park to the ruined St John the Baptist church.

Next we saw the Roman Amphitheatre.

We had a walk on the city walls, round the town and into the cathedral.

We then left Chester and drove to Clun in Shropshire to the house of our friends Pauline and Stewart. Stewart made us a vegetable Thai curry for dinner.
