We met up with Grant, and he drove us to go for a circular walk incorporating Chesters Roman Fort.

There was one single stretch of Hadrian's wall there.

We dropped Grant's car off back at his B&B and went out for dinner, at the Forum Wetherspoon's pub. We both had burgers, Grant had a pulled chicken burger.

England and Wales - Day 22

In the morning we made friends with a cat at the rugby club.

We left the site and drove into Coventry. We had phoned the council for parking suggestions and they said we should use the coach park as long as we didn't park near the coaches. It was deserted and stayed that way all day!

We walked to the cathedrals, the bombed-out old one and its modern replacement.

We saw the law court buildings that Shirley had worked in back in the 80s.

Further out is Bristol Road, where Shirley owned a house when she lived here.

We had a big lunch at KFC in the centre, then drove on to Bourne in Lincolnshire to Shirley's sister Jenny's house.

Later we had some pizza for dinner.
