Algarve - Day 11

We got up and went out for walk straight from apartment. This was route 11 from the walking guide, with an extra loop back to the start. We went down to marina first, about 15 minutes downhill from home.

We then walked out to the Atlantic coast. This was much wilder than the sandy lagoons we'd had further east. We followed the coast west, past spectacular coves and stacks of rock. Cliffs look very fragile to erosion.

We walked as far south as Point Piedade where there is a lighthouse.

From there we walked west along the clifftop, where there are lots of wooden walkways and viewpoints.

We went almost as far as the town of Luz, to a tower at the top of the cliff.

We then descended and walked inland past golf resorts. We saw a lot of Iberian magpies.

On the way backed we stopped at the supermarket near the apartment. Later we had burgers and potatoes for dinner.
