Rhodes - Day 8

Going home today, so we packed up and left the apartment. We went to Flyer's bar by the beach for a full English breakfast. It's called Flyer's because it actually has an airstrip where you can book flights over the bay.

We then had a walk round Pefkos, as we hadn't really seen it in the daylight.

We drove to Petaloudes, which is the Valley of the Butterflies, but they don't actually settle there until June (and they're moths). It's a nice walk through the trees though, we walked right to the monastery at the top.

We drove to the coast, and stopped at Theologis for a walk along the beach. We went to the first bar for a drink only to find it was an all-inclusive hotel, but they did take our money. We lay on their sunbeds for a bit.

We walked a bit further along, and had another drink at a beach bar.

Then we sat and ate our sandwiches while watching the kite surfers.

By now it was time to drive to the airport, where we changed our shoes in the car park before returning the car.

Our flight was delayed 1.5 hours for a "technical problem with engine". After that it went fairly smoothly, except our luggage took a while to get off the plane in Glasgow, then had to wait for a coach to the car park. At least the roads were quiet, we arrive home at midnight.
