Kintyre & Cowal - Day 1

We left the house about 10 and drove to the Rest and be Thankful car park just past Arrochar. We had intended to climb Ben Donich but it was cloudy so we decided to leave it for another day.

Instead we did an 8 mile walk down a forest track and back up the glen by the old road.

After this we drove on to Inverary, where we found a decent spot for wild camping in a lorry park.

We went for a walk round the town, passing the harbour on the way.

We did a bit of shopping then went back to the campervan. Dinner was a home-made beef curry that we'd brought with us. Later we went out to the George Hotel for a couple of pints. There was some live music on but we didn't stay late.
