We started to head east today, driving a few hours to walk in a forest park on the Trieux estuary south of Lézardrieux. The walk began at a visitor centre, then headed along the bank of the river.
We got a good view of a chateau in the forest on the other side.
It was a nice circular walk, very pleasant when shaded by trees but oppressively hot when out in the open.
Back at the van we did some planning, and arranged Oscar's worming treatment at a vet in Osmanville in Normandy for Saturday. This meant we needed to go more quickly east than we had originally thought.
We drove on to a nice free aire in the village of Mégrit. It was well laid out among some apple trees.
We took a walk into the village, it was very quiet and only had one bar, which was pretty nondescript on the outside. We went in and it had a very barky puppy, but fortunately it had a garden outside we could sit in peace.
Later back at the van we had rice with chicken and bacon, a meal we'd been carrying with us in the freezer.
