Today we walked along the coast in the other direction, first west then south. To start with there was much pink granite same as yesterday.
We walked round the peninsula Île Renote, which is almost an island.
Then further on round the coast. passing a few beaches.
There were lots more houses with boulders in their gardens, some were about as big as the house!
We kept going until the path at last went under some trees, so we could have our lunch in the shade. At the furthest point of the walk there was a WW2 blockhouse buried in the shrubs. Scott climbed onto the roof to get a good view of the coast.
We took the short way back, which entailed walking along a road in the heat for a mile or so. We popped into the supermarket on the way home.
Later for dinner we had tartiflette (cheese, bacon, potatoes and onions) with some tomatoes.
