We left the aire and drove on to the Brittany coast, checking in to Camping Tourony in Trégastel-Ploumanac'h for 3 nights at about £31.80 per night including electricity. It's our most expensive site so far, but very busy. They put the "Complet" sign up after we booked in, even though it was only 11.30am.
We actually stayed in the same site last time we were in Brittany in 2017.
We planned to do coastal walks for the next couple of days, so today we went inland for a walk in a forest past a lake.
The harbour just outside the campsite is very picturesque. There's a barrage with a mill on it that used to use tidal flow to run the millstone.
The path past the pond goes through a shady forest. There are lots of granite boulders around, which is very characteristic of the area.
We came back by the road, which allowed us to climb up a hill with a great view over the area.
All the houses in the area seems to have massive boulders in their gardens.
We walked back to the coast and out to the nearest beach. It's obvious why they call this the Pink Granite Coast.
We went back to the site, and did a load of washing.
Later for dinner we had a barbecue of pork and herb sausages, potatoes, courgette, mushrooms, pepper, tomato, and coleslaw.
