We drove the van to one of the car parks at Schmitten, the village above Zell Am See where the cable car stations are. From there we started walking up under the cable car to the south. The path winded up through forest tracks, occasionally become more exposed as we got higher.
We had good views down to Zell Am See and the lake, Zeller See.
We reached two lakes, and had our lunch at the second one.
We walked back down via a slightly different route. The total walk was about 15 km with 690 metres of ascent.
We decided to have a look round Zell Am See so left Oscar in the van. The rain came on so we caught a bus into town, this was free with the Tourist Cards we got from the camp site.
It was still raining so we only had a short walk round then went to a waterfront bar, which was busy with people sheltering from the rain.
We caught the bus back up to the Schmitten car park, then drove back to the camp site via a supermarket.
For dinner we had the same salad as yesterday, blue cheese and walnut.
