European Trip - Day 7

We went for a walk in the next valley along from the camp site today, Seidlwinkltal. To avoid a boring few miles on the road to start with, we drove up to the furthest car park first.

We then walked up the scenic track which followed the river. We passed many alms, or mountain huts, and lots of waterfalls.

Further up the valley the track turned into a steeper grassy path, and we carried on to the furthest alm.

On the way back down we came across loads of butterflies congregating near some water. I think they're Small Blue.

The views in the reverse direction were still good.

We walked a total of about 21 km with about 620 metres of ascent.

After reaching the van we drove down the valley, stopping for a drink at the Landgasthaus Weixen brewery.

Later for dinner we had a barbecue of marinated chicken, courgette, pepper and new potatoes.
