We took the van and drove further up the valley. For the last few miles it's a nature reserve and there's a 10 euro toll fee to drive up it. At the end of the road we parked and went for our walk. The start is at a level of about 1500 metres.
The first part of the walk was on a track, then we went across a boulder field to a waterfall.
We carried on back across the boulders then to another waterfall with a bridge.
We had our lunch sitting in the garden of a mountain hut, then walked up to one further waterfall.
On the way back to the car park we walked through the woods and round a nature trail, which had lots of interesting "bog pools". We saw a black woodpecker there.
The walk was a total of about 12 km, with about 620 metres of ascent. Once back at the van we drove back down the valley, past Worth to Rauris where we did some shopping at the supermarket.
At the site we had a beer in the sunshine then showers, and later had pizza for dinner.
