We left the site in the morning and drove south, stopping for lunch at a picnic area at the side of the motorway. The route took us round the outskirts of Nuremberg and then Munich.
After about 250 miles we arrived at a stellplatz at a private home in the village of Petting, still in Germany. There was one spot left which we took, for a charge of 20 euros including toilets and showers.
After setting up we went for a walk towards the local lake, Waginger See.
It turned out that in the direction we went it was quite hard to get anywhere near the lakeside, so we just really went there and back.
At the site we sat outside with a beer in the sunshine, and later for dinner we had spinach and ricotta pasta with arabiata sauce.
