We left Barnard Castle and drove south. We had decided to stop for lunch and a walk at Newark, the traffic on the A1 heading towards it was very busy.
We parked at the car park for Sconce and Devon park, had our sandwiches then went for a walk round. There are earthworks there for a fortification from the English civil war.
We went on to Jenny and Gordon's place in Heckington in Lincolnshire. They have a cocker spaniel puppy called Oti.
We went for a walk round the village, stopping for a pint in the Pavillion.
Later Scott and Gordon went to the 8 Sails windmill and brewery to buy some beer, and had a quick half while they were there.
Later we had chilli and rice for dinner.
