We left the site and drove south. We headed for Barnard Castle and parked the van at the edge of town. We had a walk down the high street and then up the river a little bit.
We had lunch at a table outside a café, savoury pastries. We then drove to the camp site, Barnard Castle Camping and Caravanning Club Site and set up.
We went for a short walk in the lanes and woods round the site. Later we had chilli and rice for dinner.
It rained heavily during the night.
