Bulgaria - Day 13

We drove south to the coastal town of Sinmorets. There is a busy beach by the town, but you can walk down a coastal path which reaches quieter coves.

It was very hot, we went in the water at a couple of places to cool off.

We eventually got to a small deserted beach where we stayed a while and had a swim.

We then walked back to Sinmorets, and went to the beach at the north of the town which is at the mouth of the River Veleka.

After this we drove to the town of Rezovo at the very southern tip of Bulgaria, where Turkey is just at the other side of a small river.

We had a drink there, then drove home. There were lots of Border Police around, and we got stopped at a checkpoint where they wanted to look in the back of the car to see if we had any stowaways. On the way back we stopped at a field of sunflowers to take some photographs.

Later for dinner we had spiced chicken and spicy potato wedges.
