After breakfast we decided to explore Sozopol. First we walked down to the nearest beach, Harmanite Beach.
We then walked the coastal path round the peninsula containing the old town, with some Roman ruins and good views back to the beach.
We walked right round the peninsula to the harbour on the other side, where the cruise boats are docked.
We then went into the old town itself, and had a drink and a rest at a cafe.
The streets of the old town are very busy with shops and tourists.
Scott bought a new wallet at one of the leather shops.
It has many old houses with stone walls on the first floor and wooden paneled walls on the upper floor.
We bought Banitsa to eat, which are Bulgarian pastries made with cheese and/or spinach.
We went back to the apartment for a rest. Later we went back down to the beach for a stroll and a drink. The beer is very cheap here, about £1 for a 2 litre bottle of Bulgarian beer, Kamenitsa or Pirinsko.
We had roast vegetables for dinner.
