July trip day 7- Yorkshire Dales

Today we were heading inland, to the Yorkshire Dales to meet our friend Barry. We left the site just before 11 in beautiful sunshine.

We drove to Yorkshire Dales, and found Mill Farm at Fremington who let campervans stay in their field with water and waste facilities for £10. We were the only ones in a huge field.

We went on a circular walk to Grinton and Reeth, mostly along Arkle Beck and the River Swale. It was idyllic.

After an ice cream at Reeth we drove to the Tan Hill Inn to meet Barry. This is the highest inn in Britain, at 1732ft.

After a drink we went back to our field, then out for dinner at the Bridge Inn in Grinton.
