July trip day 1 - Coldingham

This morning we packed the campervan for our trip down the east coast. We left at about 12 and drove to Coldingham Bay. We parked the campervan in the car park and went for a walk on the beach with Amber. Weather was a bit overcast at times.

Had a look in the rock pools, and then got an ice cream at the beach cafe.

We then drove to the site just outside Coldingham village - Templehall, a Caravan Club "CL" (Certified Location) which is a small site with basic facilities (electric hookup, water and waste disposal).

We set everything up then went for a walk into the village. Had a look at the priory, which has been on the site since the 12th century.

We then sampled a couple of the pubs and walked home up  the hill. Dinner was pasta with sauce and a bottle of wine, after which we watched a film then went to bed.
