July trip day 6 - Whitley Bay

Today we took the bus into Whitley Bay itself, and walked along the seafront via Cullercoats to Tynemouth. It was a little overcast, but quite warm.

We had lunch overlooking King Edwards beach and the castle. By this time it was very hot and sunny.

We had a pint at Hugos, then looked for a park for Amber. We found Northumberland Park on the map but unfortunately it was completely closed for rebuilding. We ended up having a very long hot walk to find the bus stop, and took two buses back to the site.

Leaving Amber in the van we cycled to Seaton Sluice where we had a pint at the Kings Arms, which had some interesting sculptures around it.

We went shopping at the Co-op, and went back to the van where we made pork and vegetables for dinner.
